More Information
Porcelain needs a different method to natural stone. Because it is so dense, mortar does not grip it on its own. A priming slurry is painted on the back of every slab first. Cuts are made with diamond blades. These steps stop slabs coming loose and keep the edges clean and sharp.
Porcelain comes in many finishes, including stone, slate, concrete and wood effects. Light colours suit modern homes and shady gardens. Darker shades hide dirt well. Large slabs give a clean, open look with fewer joints, and matching steps and coping can carry the style through the garden.
Prestige Landscapes has been building gardens around Alton for 20 years, and we lay porcelain patios for homes in Alton, Chawton and Upper Froyle. Porcelain needs care to lay well, from the primer to the cuts. We can also fit matching paths and steps, so your new patio links neatly to the rest of the garden.

STILL NOT SURE?
Porcelain patios in Alton cost more than concrete slabs and are often similar to good natural stone. The price depends on the size of the patio, the style of tile and how much preparation the ground needs. We come out, measure the space and give you a clear price before work starts.
Cleaning a porcelain patio in Alton is easy. Sweep it often and wash it with warm water and a mild cleaner, using a soft brush to lift most dirt. A pressure washer can be used on a low setting, but take care around the joints. Porcelain does not need sealing like natural stone.
